Youth & children
As well as a full range of Junior Church groups on Sundays, young people also get together during the week.
0-3′s: Parents & Toddlers
Wednesday mornings, 10am-11.30am
We have crafts, toys, a Bible story and songs for the children every week and celebrate birthdays, Christmas and Easter in special ways! There is no official charge but a £1 donation is invited each week to cover the cost of biscuits and drinks.
For those who would like to find out more about the Christian faith we organise occasional social evening events with a talk. We also run regular Christianity Explored courses with childcare provided.
The group is run by a team led by Julie Harrison, who can be contacted on 01202 389303.
5-11′s: Boys Brigade
Wednesdays in term-time from 6pm
The 1st Westbourne Boys Brigade is a Christian organisation for boys aged between 5 and 11 years old. There’s a whole programme of activities including sports, crafts, going on visits and Bible teaching.
7-11′s: EXPLAC
Alternate Fridays, 6.45pm – 8pm
7-11 year olds get together for games, fun, a Bible thought and social activities fortnightly on Friday evenings. We meet at the church hall.
For more details contact George de Lorey on 01202 734426.
11-18′s: Friday Night Social
Alternate Fridays, 8pm – 9.30pm
Young people get together every other Friday for a social with games or a trip out bowling, ice-skating or even a magical mystery tour! Each evening includes a mellow moment to have some refreshments while listening to a Bible thought.
For more details, contact Andy Nash on 01202 432126 or andy@christchurchwestbourne.com
There is an annual camp each summer that many of our 11-14s go to and enjoy.
14-18′s: CYFA
Alternate Fridays, 7pm
Teenagers get together for a Bible study before the Friday Night Social on alternate Fridays. It’s a great chance to see how Christianity is relevant to young people today and to ask lots of questions!
For more details, contact Nick and Kat May on 01202 730560.
