Christ Church Staff

Alasdair Paine - Vicar

Alasdair Paine (Vicar) has oversight of the church and is responsible for much of the preaching. He is married to Rachel and they have three school aged children. He became a Christian while a student at Cambridge University. Before ordination, he was a graduate student in the USA and then a teacher. He served in a church in Exeter before starting at Christ Church in 2002.

Jonathan Griffiths - Assistant Minister

Jonathan Griffiths (Assistant Minister) is married to Gemma and together they have a wonderfully smiley newborn son, Teddy. Jonathan studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford and carried on his studies in Cambridge, before working as a teacher in London for a few years. Jonathan is responsible for our junior church and twenties' and thirties' ministries and preaches frequently at our Sunday services.

Andy Nash (Community Minister)

Andy Nash (Community Minister) is responsible for building our links with all who live and work in our local area, in order to help everyone understand the Christian faith. He is married to Abi (see below!) and became a Christian while a geology student at Aberystwyth University. He worked in the construction industry for several years before training for ministry at the Cornhill Training Course in London.

Abi Nash (Women's Worker and Vicar's PA)

Abi Nash (Women's Worker and Vicar's PA) is married to Andy and, like him, trained at the Cornhill Training Course. Abi's work includes Christian encouragement of women in the church. She became a Christian while she was at sixth-form college, and was a housing officer before working for the church.

Barry and Shirley Windsor (Church Visitors)

Barry and Shirley Windsor (Church Visitors) co-ordinate visiting, prayer support and Christian encouragement for our members who are ill or stuck at home. Barry is a retired GP and Shirley a retired nurse. They started this new role in the church in 2006.
