Nick Hiscocks, Vicar

Nick is married to Cecilia and they have four young children – Lucy, Millie and twin boys Jonty and Titus. Nick joined us in 2011 from Christ Church Bromley, where he served as curate and Associate Vicar for Mission, during which time he led a church plant for 4 years. Nick enjoys playing squash, cooking and watching war films.


Joel Kendall, Assistant Minister

Joel is married to Kathryn and they have one young son called Cian. Before coming to Christ Church Westbourne, Joel spent 3 years doing theological training at WEST (Wales Evangelical School of Theology), and before that several years working in financial administration. Joel enjoys playing with Cian, playing the guitar, and watching rugby – especially his beloved Wales and Cardiff Blues.



Tom Winstone, Families, Youth and Children’s Minister

Tom is married to Isabelle and has spent two years studying Children’s and Youth Ministry at Oak Hill Theological College. Tom enjoys teaching the Bible to children, young people and their families and equipping others to do the same. In his spare time, he enjoys football, motocross and photography.


Andy Nash, Community Minister

Andy is responsible for building our links with all who live and work in our local area, in order to help everyone understand the Christian faith. He is married to Abi (see below!) and became a Christian while a geology student at Aberystwyth University. He worked in the construction industry for several years before training for ministry at the Cornhill Training Course in London.


Abi Nash, Women’s Worker

Abi is married to Andy and, like him, trained at the Cornhill Training Course. Abi’s work includes Christian encouragement of women in the church. She became a Christian while she was at sixth-form college, and was a housing officer before working for the church.



Niv Lobo, Ministry Apprentice

Niv joined the team as an Apprentice in September, 2012, before which he spent three years at university studying English, reading lots of 17th century poetry, and doing lots of singing and napping. He now enjoys spending his time learning from the Bible, reading it with others, teaching it in a variety of contexts and helping out practically around the church.


David Thornhill-Smith, Ministry Apprentice

David has been an apprentice at Christ Church since September 2012.  David grew up in Sheffield and studied there gaining a degree in  Business Studies. Following that he had various jobs before moving to  Bournemouth in September 2011 to spend a year working with  international students. As an apprentice David enjoys spending time  with international students, helping to run a Parents and Toddlers  group and reading the Bible with people.


Sue Bennett, Pastoral Care co-ordinator

Sue co-ordinates visiting, support and pastoral care for our members who are ill or have a particular need. Sue became a Christian as a teenager on a CYFA houseparty. After training at Cranmer Hall, she worked as a Lay Minister on the staff of a number of churches with responsibility for women’s and pastoral work. She has been married to Tony for 4 years.


Barry and Shirley Windsor, Church Visitors

Barry and Shirley visit our church members who are in hospital or ill at home. Barry is a retired GP and Shirley a retired nurse.





Eddie Purse, Church Visitor

Eddie also visits our church members who are in hospital or ill at home. Eddie is married to Cynthia and is a retired Baptist pastor, who has served churches in Hertfordshire and Sussex.
